The value of the design tensile strength is defined as:

where:

`γ`_{C}- is the partial safety factor for concrete, see § 2.4.2.4 (1), § 2.4.2.4 (2) and § 2.4.2.4 (3)
`α`_{lct}- is a coefficient according to § 3.1.6 (2)P (the coefficient taking account of long term effects on the tensile strength and of unfavourable effects, resulting from the way the load is applied).

## Recommendation

The recommended value of `α _{lct}` is 0,85
