Adequate ductility in tension of prestressing steel: the value of k
Eurocode 2 part 1-1: Design of concrete structures 3.3.4 Ductility characteristics
The prestressing tendons shall have adequate ductility, as specified in EN 10138.
Adequate ductility in tension may be assumed for the prestressing tendons if fpk/fp0,1k ≥ k.
Recommendation
The recommended value of k for the adequate ductility in tension of prestressing steel is 1,1.
