Design values for the compressive stresses within nodes: the values of k1, k2 and k3

The design values for the compressive stresses within nodes may be determined by:
a) in compression nodes where no ties are anchored at the node

b) in compression - tension nodes with anchored ties provided in one direction

c) in compression - tension nodes with anchored ties provided in more than one direction

Recommendation
The recommended values of k1, k2 and k3 for the calculation of the design compressive stresses within nodes are k1 = 1,0, k2 = 0,85 and k3 = 0,75
