Partial safety factors for materials: the reduction based on using reduced or measured geometrical data design, γS,red2 and γC,red2
Eurocode 2 part 1-1: Design of concrete structures A.2.2 (1) - Annex A (informative)
If the calculation of design resistance is based on critical geometrical data, including effective depth (cf. Figure A.1), which are either:
- reduced by deviations, or
- measured in the finished structure,
the partial safety factors for materials may be reduced to γS,red2 and γC,red2.
Recommendation
The recommended values for the partial safety factors γS,red2 and γC,red2 are 1,05 and 1,45 respectively.
