The limit span/depth ratio may be estimated using Expressions (7.16.a) and (7.16.b):

where K is the factor to take into account the different structural systems.
Recommendation
The recommended values for the structural system factor K are given in Table 7.4N. The limits span/depth l/d obtained by using Expression (7.16) for common cases (C30/37, σs = 310 MPa, different structural systems and reinforcement ratios ρ = 0,5% et ρ = 1,5%) are also given.
